Tiffany & Co.

I have never owned anything from Tiffany's before yesterday - I never would have spent the money on myself, because I think at sometimes it's overrated and too popular - and no one has ever given me something from there, so there you go. BUT - every girl would love to get a Tiffany blue bag or box, and I am no exception to that rule.

My boss and I have been working through a deluge of cookie trays, german chocolate, candy, muffins, etc. - mostly giving it to people around the office and/or our families. There's only two of us in the whole department, and that stuff makes you fat, so we avoid it. However, I did receive a nice ornament from restoration hardware, a nice pen, etc. - all from our vendors, which is really thoughtful of them. So yesterday, we're walking around passing out muffins, chocolate and popcorn and we receive another package. I'm carrying it, and it's definitely not food - it's light and small. So in the midst of our food rounds, we go back to our offices and open it - I see Tiffany blue - Tracy says "no way", but alas, it was Tiffany blue. We both received the venetian bracelet from one of our vendors and essentially flipped out. It was really exciting, right? I mean, what could be more exciting than getting a Tiffany bracelet, etc., etc.?

Well, how about getting opening gifts with your boyfriend later that night and having him pull out a Tiffany bag from his gym bag! Yes, folks, that's what happened - we exchanged anniversary/christmas gifts last night and he got me the sweetest heart-shaped key chain engraved with my initial. And he held it up and said "it's a heart, that's my favorite part." I will say, it's a touch classier than my Kansas bottle opener keychain.

So in conclusion, it was a good pre-christmas day, and my boyfriend is tres cute. I no longer expect any more Tiffany gifts, but I'm content with the ones that I have. I just think it's crazy that I got 2 in one day - I should have bought a lotto ticket!
